Overnight Camp Session II: July 22-25, 2018

Format

Petro Lacrosse Camp is an instructional camp that combines practice drills and station work with recruiting and real in-game experience. Campers are placed according to ability, size, and/or skill level in order to provide the most competitive and enriching environment for each camper. Each full day features three active lacrosse sessions along with instructional talks from coaches and staff. Evenings feature nightly raffles in the residence hall and camp store hours. Ages

Petro Lacrosse Camps are open to boys ages 12 through rising seniors. The typical camper to counselor ratio at camp both for on-field activities and residence halls is 10:1.

Consent Form & Insurance

Petro Lacrosse Camps must have a completed consent form submitted by each camper in order to participate in camp. Every camper is required to submit proof of insurance prior to participation in camp. The form may be downloaded below.

Equipment

Each Camper must bring his own equipment. Petro Lacrosse Camps does not provide any equipment. The following equipment is mandatory for play: helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, and mouth guard. Helmets must be worn at all times at playing fields. Each camper will receive a water bottle and reversible pinnie which must be used at all lacrosse sessions. Shoe preferences are up to the participant as sessions are conducted on both turf and grass surfaces. Bed linens (sheets/blanket/pillow) are provided and exchanged on a daily basis, however campers must bring their own towels. There are coin operated washers and dryers ($1.25 to wash or dry) in the residence hall.

Staff
The staff at Petro Lacrosse Camps varies each summer, but always includes Hall of Famer Dave Pietramala, Bill Dwan and Bobby Benson. The staff is completed with former Division I All-Americans, MLL players, college coaches, and many of the best college players in the game today. All are dedicated to challenging you with four days of individual and team skills.
Residence Halls & Dining

Campers of Petro Lacrosse Camps are housed in a Johns Hopkins University Residence Hall. The residence halls used for camp are all suite-style, comprised of single and/or double rooms, accommodating up to four campers per suite. Every effort will be made to ensure roommate requests, however we cannot guarantee roommate requests. All residence halls are swipe card entry-controlled and have security officers on duty 24/7. All residence halls are air-conditioned and wifi-equipped.

Bed linens (sheets/blanket/pillow) are provided and exchanged on a daily basis, however campers must bring their own towels. There are coin operated washers and dryers ($1.25 to wash or dry) in the residence hall. 

Campers enjoy three meals a day at Fresh Foods Cafe, where meals are made from scratch using fresh seasonal ingredients.

Dining Information

Key Deposit

A $100 key deposit per camper is required at check-in and will be shredded if the keys are returned at check out and no damages were reported. The camper will not be issued a room key, swipe card or meal card without this deposit. Please make checks payable to Petro Lacrosse Camps and write the camper name on the memo line.

Certified Athletic Trainers

Certified athletic trainers are on call 24 hours a day. A member of the training staff will will be at check-in to discuss any medical concerns and medication disbursement needs prior to camp. 

Transportation Services

Petro Lacrosse Camps offers transportation to and from BWI Airport (Baltimore Washington International) for a fee of $25 each way. Those campers who have requested transportation from us will be picked up at the Southwest Baggage Claim Area (1-5) of BWI Airport. Our staff wears Hopkins Lacrosse T-shirts and has all flight information of arriving campers. The camper is to remain in the Southwest Airlines Baggage Claim Area (1-5) for pick-up. Campers will be dropped at his airline’s curbside check-in for departure on the last day of camp. Please Note: our staff will only provide pick-up at baggage claim and curb-side drop off at departure. We will incur absolutely no airport responsibility beyond drop-off. If your son is a minor, it is imperative you check with the airline to ensure they do not require adult supervision to and from the gate.

Please schedule arrivals between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on the first day of camp.
Please schedule departures between 2:00 and 5:00 pm on the final day of camp.

Petro Lacrosse Camps does not provide transportation to and from Penn Station.
